Evolution Lies

We had an interesting speaker for church service today, by the name of David Prentice. He came to give a talk about the lies of the evolution theory (which in actual fact is more of a hypothesis). Any case, it's really interesting how people can believe in evolution when it is filled with holes and mistakes! Maybe they are too quick to believe whatever scientists tells them.

Anyway, some interesting things he shared with us:

  • The presence of seashells, and the fossil layers, even at the top of the highest mountains in our world, Everest and Andes, is evidence of the world wide flood that God had revealed in Genesis.
  • The elements found in a human's body are all the elements found in earth, because man were made from dust of the earth.
  • God took a rib bone from Adam's body to create Eve, and man didnt lose that rib bone, but amazingly, the rib bone is the only bone in the human's body that can regrow.
  • Detailed analysis of fossil layers, and how it is a lie that it takes millions of years to make fossil layers - lab experiments show organic matter being fossilized in a matter of just 5- 20 years given the right conditions and organic fuel can be made from plants within 20min!
  • Detailed analysis of the ape and man bone structure and its history. painstaking going through each species of apes and monkeys and generations of man - show conclusively that and ape is just and ape and man is man, no evolution involved.

I really found his talk useful and informative. He still had 50hrs worth of material that he didn't have time to share with us. Anyway, you can find some of his materials at www.originsresource.org. Just be sure to ignore the website design. :p

Audio Recording Loot

Ah, my plans to do some home music recording have been fulfilled! What you see in the pictures are pretty much everything you need to do some nice basic guitar/vocals recordings on your computer!

The most important component is the Presonus "Audiobox" Audio Interface. All the music instruments and mics are connected to the computer through it.

The second most important is the Shure SM58, it's a well-known dynamic mic for vocals. Condenser mics may be better for recordings but they are way more expensive and a tad to sensitive for my liking.

The ATH M30 headphones are great performers at budget price, I'm sort of using them as monitors. Other stuff I got are some cables and a mic stand. The whole set-up cost less than $500. The salesman at Luther Music Store was really friendly and helpful and managed to get me some discounts on the items!

Pizza For Lunch

I never expected pizza to be so easy to make. Of course, it helps that we didn't make the crust or sauce ourselves. All we had to do was:

1) Preheat oven to 230C.
2) Spread pizza sauce over crust.
3) Add mozzarella cheese.
4) Add ingredients, in our case, ham and chicken sausage.
5) Add more cheese.
6) Cook for 10 min in oven!

Have to remember to butter the crust and maybe add some onions next time though, but the pizza came out nice!
